As the only factory of its kind remaining in the area, we preserve a unique method that delivers superior stiffness and bulk to cardboard products worldwide.

We utilize locally sourced Norwegian spruce, ensuring high quality and minimal transport emissions.
Our traditional stone grinding process creates unbleached pulp with exceptional structural properties.
We have a total production capacity of about 80.000 ton per year.
Vafos Pulp has specialised its production on unbleached pulp in the CSF range 240-360, according to customer requirements. Brightness (ISO) 60-64 and bulk about 2,7 - 3,2. The pulp gives high yield and is ideal for the production of folding boxboard. High bulk, low drainage time and good plybond save both fibers and energy for our customers.
The pulp is produced in flash dried bales of 200 kilos and delivers in 6 bale units of 1200 kilos.
Most of our raw material is delivered through Agder/Telemark forest owners association. Since 2010 Vafos Pulp is FSC® certified and has the license number FSC-C084440 which give us the right to market and sell our
pulp as FSC® product.
